Nortel becames UM's biggest scholarship sponsor for ECE students

Nortel Networks became the University of Maryland's biggest scholarship sponsor for students in electrical and computer engineering this semester by helping ten undergraduate and three graduate students continue their studies at the University.

The Nortel Networks Scholars Program at the University of Maryland, funded through the Nortel Networks Foundation, will be established through a $100,000 donation. It will support students studying in the fields of electrical engineering and computer engineering, as well as those specializing in telecommunications engineering. The undergraduate scholarships will last for a period of three years, while the graduate fellowships will last for two years. Read the official press release.
